Kid Icarus, Doom 4, Alan Wake, and Half-Life Episode 3 Confirmed for E3

Scouring the list of scheduled games for E3 is yielding some interesting titles that should be making an appearance. Right now, there are listings for Kid Icarus Wii, Doom 4, Alan Wake, and Half-Life Episode 3. So let’s see, that’s one game that Nintendo fans have been wanting for years, one game that may or may not push some graphical boundaries while scaring the crap out of people, one game that’s been in development since the last generation of consoles, and one game that should finally finish up a trilogy. We knew there were already going to be some great titles showing up, like Little Big Planet and Gears of War 2, but these ones definitely bump the excitement up a notch. I hope that Half-Life listing indicates they’re releasing that one sooner, rather than later. E3 is already looking to be a pretty exciting time for gamers everywhere.

Those links just got to E3.net (which is clearly run by UGO and not the ESA - the company that runs E3), who also doesn't quote a source. It looks like they just made placeholder pages for games they assume are going to be at E3. This is far from a confirmation. It's just blatant speculation.

New Lord of the Rings game posted (that I hadn't heard about yet)

It's "Half-Life 2: Episode 3." A minor technical detail, but an important one.
June 27th, 2008 at 12:00 pm
This is inaccurate, e3.net is not the official website for E3, this is a site owned by UGO.com and the games listed are speculation on their part.

I seriously cannot wait for more some newer footage of Alan Wake…I was going as far as to believe they had somewhat either cancelled it, or forzen it for a long while…

Sign if you don't want to see Kid Icarus ruined by Factor 5.

are once again, all morons.
Down with E3… So many people have pulled out that it's a joke to even consider it important. The board have ruined the event that people have already called dead and irrelevant for years.
