Ken Kutaragi officially retired yesterday from his position as Sony Chairman and Group CEO. Almost two months ago, he announced his plans to leave the company on June 19, and the day has come. It feels almost like the end of an era, as Kutaragi has helped develop the original Playstation and the PS2. He will however remain a honorary chairman at SCEI and a senior technology advisor to Sony Corporation CEO Sir Howard Stringer.
