Just Cause 2 Unveiled

While Just Cause 2 was confirmed quite some time ago, some concrete details about the game have surfaced. The game is going to follow a very similar premise to the first game – explore a tropical island, GTA-style, with the goal of overthrowing a cruel dictator.
That sounds exactly the same as the first Just Cause, but rest assured changes are being made, although you will be reprising the role of JC’s protagonist, Rico Rodriguez. The island in JC2 will be completely new, and side-missions have been done away with. Lead designer Peter Johansson revealed that side-missions are out, claiming that the freedom that they help provide isn’t true freedom.
“Freedom is something of a myth – again GTA we’re looking at you. In Just Cause 2 freedom should be more of a reality. The side-missions are out. You’ll begin the game with nothing but your Cuban heels and a winning smile.”
Calling out GTA really doesn’t seem like a good idea when it’s really the game that invented the genre; Rockstar certainly doesn’t need any extra motivation to turn GTA IV into something special.

Just cause FUCKING SUCKED!! Fucking SHITE game, and now that I know there aren’t any side missions I wont even bother looking into it. JC is such shit!!! And ANYONE calling out GTA is gonna get attention, just mentioning GTA will get u attention. What pisses me off is that this guy is actually refering to GTA as if JC has ANY kind of resemblence besides being 3rd person. Fucking horseshit!!
