Color me excited folks. Joe Satriani, Steve Vai and Buckethead are headed to Guitar Hero III: Legends of Rock via a downloadable track pack.
The Virtuoso Track Pack contains the three world renowned guitarists who harbor amazing shredding abilities, and they are set to storm our living rooms on July 24 (Thursday) for the PS3 and Xbox 360.
Included is Joe Satriani’s 1987 hit, “Surfing with the Alien,” Steve Vai’s “For the Love of God,” and Buckethead’s “Soothsayer” which is hyper-speed at its best.
Just so you know, because of this news, I will officially be marrying my guitar controller on Thursday morning. You are all invited to the festivities.

I hope they do For The Love Of God well. Vai uses a lot of whammy and string techniques that aren't possible on the plastic controller.

You OBviously dont know anything about Buckethead if you have even thihnk about asking htat question….
Buckethead is one of th ebest guitarists out there, and thats not just my opinion, but the opinion of thousands of guitarists out there, including some of the great reknowns, Like Paul Gilbert for example.
For one Buckethead is not a shredder, but he can shred. Buckethead has over 38 solo albums ranging from jazz, to metal to avant garde, to funk, to bluegrass, even electronica.
Most people just look at his getup and judge him for a couple of songs they may have heard like Jordan…. it's amazing how ignorant some people can be.
