jimi hendrixMaking good on its promise of more Jimi Hendrix content for the recently released Guitar Hero: World Tour, Activision announced today that on November 13 the extra content for the Guitar God will be made available. Already a playable character, you can get even more Hendrix with the downloadable tracks “If 6 was 9,” the classic “Little Wing,” and a live version “Fire”.

In addition to the left-handed genius, making their debut appearance in a videogame, The Raconteurs will have three songs off their second album Consolers of the Lonely. Consisting of rockers Jack White (The White Stripes), Brendan Benson, Jack Lawrence (The Greenhornes and Blanche), and Patrick Keeler (The Greenhornes), “Salute Your Solution,” “Hold Up” and “Consoler of the Lonely” will be available on November 20.

Both track packs will be available on Xbox LIVE Marketplace for 440 MS Points and the PlayStation Store for $5.49 and each of The Raconteurs tracks will be sold as singles too for 160 MS Points and $1.99 respectively. Nintendo users will not be left out in the cold either because with the Nintendo Wi-Fi Connection for Wii you can get the tracks for 200 Wii Points each.

Guitar Hero: World Tour hit stores this past Sunday on October 26 and it is nice to see Activision getting the DLC ball rolling right away and they need to keep it up if they plan to compete with Rock Band and their seemingly endless supply of quality downloadable content.
