It’s About Time: Beyond Good and Evil 2 Revealed By Ubisoft

Even if you haven’t played it, odds are you’ve at least heard of Beyond Good and Evil. It was one of those games that critics absolutely loved, but that failed to perform very well at retail. This earned it the same, unfortunate spot in gaming history as such classics like Psychonauts. Because of this, just about everyone who played the game was disappointed to hear that a sequel was highly unlikely; even more so, given the first game’s cliffhanger ending. Well, it looks like those pleas have not fallen on deaf ears, as Ubisoft has now teased us with a sequel to the game. This video doesn’t specifically name the game, but what other title had a talking pig and a girl that looks like that? It appears like they’re ditching the more cartoonish look of the first game. But who cares? The point is, expect one awesome sequel to be showing up sometime in the future.

I have to say, I’m a bit disappointed that a game prominently featuring a talking pig decided to go with a more realistic visual style. I loved the stylized look of the first title. Oh well.
