Is That Your Gun Or Just Another Terrible Uwe Boll Trailer?

The trailer for Uwe Boll’s Far Cry movie showed up on YouTube today. This may come as a shock to a few people, but the trailer looks absolutely terrible. I’m sorry, but we have enough corny movies out there. Something tells me that this film is full of lame one-liners from beginning to end. Far Cry was a pretty good game, but it looks like they are ruining it with this film. I haven’t seen the film, so I can’t give my full opinion on it just yet, but the trailer just smells of something that tastes bad. I realize that when movie guys like Uwe Boll pop up with a handful of cash, that it’s awful tempting to sell out your game for a quick buck, but I sincerely hope that the gaming companies start being a little more careful with who they sell licenses to. It is completely possible to make some great movies out of games, but not with the people they are selling the licenses to now.

    oh look its a bad made-for-saturday-afternoon-tv “action” movie. wait… no. it’s some new Boll of crap. Come on… the guy from “SLC Punk!” as the lead? no. just no.

    well at least Udo Kier is in it. That man is a god. Can someone give him a good tv role please?

    there’s actually quite a few actors I like in this film. At this point, I don’t think there is a dream cast in the world that could save a Boll film.

    I think it was all filmed in Vancouver. Boll’s little budget could never afford a real tropical island. sure would have been great if a real director/movie studio picked up this film and we had a REAL Far Cry.

    Wow, the cinematography looks about as good as the average Chuck Norris movie. :roll:
