Is Psychonauts 2 Headed Our Way or is a Possible Remake in the Works?

Over on the Double Fine website, the makers of the upcoming Brutal Legend and the hallowed Psychonauts have posted this enigmatic image. Is this image depicting a new Psychonauts game or possibly a re-make for next-gen consoles and handhelds? Who knows, they may just be adding the original game to the site. While any news of a new installment in this gamer favorite would be exciting, Tim Schafer has remained uncommunicative on the subject, although with a mischievous gleam in his eyes I am sure. Stick around and maybe we can find out more information on what this image could mean for fans of the game. It says “coming soon” but that could mean in 2010 for all we know.

Remake on the Wii at $30 would suit me fine.

Shafer has confirmed this is nothing but a misunderstanding. The image is for a Psychonauts section of their website, not a new game.
