Is Dead Space’s Hero Hiding Something Under His Mask?

Before I go any further, I should probably warn you that this may be a big ol’ SPOILER, so you may want to just keep on scrolling down if you don’t want a possible major plot point of Dead Space ruined for you.
With that out of the way, one astute OXM reader named Emma Jackson recently noticed something very peculiar about that creepy “Twinkle Twinkle Little Star” trailer that was released for Dead Space awhile. Namely, during one of the many parts where the video cuts to something horrifying, we catch a glimpse of what looks like a monster wearing the exact same suit as the game’s hero, Isaac Clarke. Considering EA has stayed very quiet about whether he’ll actually take his mask off or not during the game, people are already speculating that maybe Isaac may already be a monster somehow. Of course, this could also just be some other engineer who happened to be wearing the same exact outfit when he met with his demise. Who knows? But I definitely can’t wait until the game’s Halloween release date to find out for myself. Hit the jump to see a screen capture of the possible unmasked Isaac.

From what I know of the plot, Isaac is not the only one sent to check things out. It could be a fellow engineer.
Ahh! Please dont have him taking off his mask! They thought about doing that in halo and it would have ruined his rep as the guy everyone can agree with and everyone could think they were like him thus making the game more fun. So i ask that the ppl in dev better not mess this up!

…Could be a genetic clone sent by the aliens 500 years after the events in Dead Space to kill Isaac before he turns into Master Chief and teleport’s into the world of Mars.
Looks like shit. And they promise 10 hours of gameplay which = 4 hours in the real world. What a ripoff.
Heh. We noticed this a few weeks ago on GameFAQS. We were hoping that its a fellow engineer.
Nothing wrong with removal of masks, gives a character… well… character, rather than just being another faceless nobody in a suit.

Issac isn’t the only person sent to the ship. Two others were sent but he and them were separated.
guys, thats just one of the death animations, if he doesnt get too badly dismembered, he gets killed then infected, so that thing is isaac, or rather whats left of him…
…Isaac HAS his mask off at the beginning of the game. Play it before writing crap about it.
