Introducing the Nintendo…Pedometer?

Nintendo recently filed a new trademark in Europe for this sleek-looking device, which of course begs the question, “What is it?” Is it some new tiny Wii-mote? Is this the new DS model? Nope, its a pedometer. You know, those things that measure how many steps you take that they used to give out at McDonalds. No word yet on why Nintendo would want to trademark such a device, but we’ll probably find out next week when the Tokyo Game Show kicks off. My best guess is it detects the number of steps you take throughout the day, so you can upload that information to WiiFit later (hence the IR remote and single button). Then the game tells you “Good job” or “Pfft, you call that walking?” or distributes candy and french fries or something.

Wow, the title pulled me in…. Im pissed I thought this thread would be lulz…
that name is just funny
It’s pronounced peh-dom-eter not pedo-meter… wow guys come on these things have been around forever you should know this by now!
In fact when I saw the name I didn’t even think about pedophile until I saw your comments…
lol, it detects pedos within meter.
Jokes aside, the device seems like a lame thing they would trademark, but knowing Nintendo they probably make something cool out of it I guess.
