Introducing the Nintendo TS?

One industrious poster on the NeoGaf forums, calling himself “Shogmaster,” has put up these artist renderings of how he thinks the Nintendo’s next handheld should function. Note this is not an actual product in the works, but still a pretty nifty idea. His design seems reminiscent of a Sidekick, with the screen twisting out for gameplay. He even thought of how backward compatibility with DS and GBA games would work. It might be an issue always having the touch screen exposed, but the complaints about that from the iPhone have been relatively minor, so it could conceivably work.

Besides, Nintendo still hasn’t gotten back to me about my idea for the “Nintendo TA,” which I think has real potential to bring touch screen technology where it’s needed most: the porn industry.

dont like it doesnt look rite! not a good concept! but good idead on making the touch screen with the view screen together but other than that the cross or t idea looks very ugly!

Quite genius actually, don’t know how you’d play games on the bottom model without buttons or a d-pad, but perfect for playing movies. The top model is a perfect design for both regular DS games and book designed DS games such as Brain Age or Ninja Gaiden DS. Plus the in-game movies like on Metroid Prime: Hunters and Ninja Gaiden DS would be perfect with the tiny gap between the two screens, though some games such as Metroid Prime Pinball or Legend of Zelda: Phantom Hourglass have adapted their gameplay and in-game movies with the large gap on the old DS and DS Lite design. Great idea Shogmaster, I’d definately buy it.

This is non-expensive for a device that has so many features…………….I LIKE IT! The next best thing would be if nintendo decided to turn it’s company from a game company to telephone company, so the devices could be used as phones also.

It’s fake, it would have been out already in 2008 and this is 2009. Unless it’s announced by Nintendo of Japan it’s not trustable source. Fake, fake and more fake.
