Introducing the Guitar Hero Turntable Controller

People just can’t stay satisfied with the standard Guitar Hero controller. Somehow, the idea of playing a guitar-based game with a guitar-shaped controller just doesn’t work for them. Thus we get various mods, such as this portable turntable controller, dubbed the “Scratch Master.” It operates pretty much like the Guitar Hero controller, except you scratch the 45 to hit notes instead of pushing a strum bar. Presumably, this can make you feel like a DJ who only makes guitar sounds. Expect to see future mods that have you playing Guitar Hero using the Rock Band drums or something else that defeats the whole point.

I have to agree this is a pretty stupid, useless mod.
Also, why doesn’t he just play beatmania?

I’m not a big fan of this mod. The main reason I’m not is the fact that it’s not being used like a turntable in anyway. It’s basically a GH guitar in the shape of a turntable when you break it down.

Sounds like a gameplay mode that EZ2DJ had introduced years back… the 4th through 7th versions of the game had a mode called EZ2Turntable that did exactly what this guy thinks he’s being so innovative in doing.

Too bad Konami sued Amuseworld, saying it was too similar to Beatmania, and the game is no longer made…
