Interactivity Of The Wii Causes Antisocial Behavior?

That’s the common theme popping up in the news lately. The bandwagon of anti-gamers has now focused some attention on the Nintendo Wii.
As more violent games become available for the Wii, the debate about their participatory nature is intensifying. Researchers who have been critical of first-person shooter games — in which the player pushes a button to activate a weapon — say the Wii’s increased interactivity raises the risk of antisocial behavior. Others say that while the violent content may be disturbing to some people, there is no evidence to support a link between violent games and aggression.
Perhaps eventually this bandwagon will slow down and they can focus their efforts on some real problems in the world. In the time it takes to load this article, around 200 people in the world died of hunger. I think that’s a real problem. If you simply want to focus on issues concerning violent behavior in America, maybe we should think about looking into parenting skills. Perhaps abusive families are to blame for their kids turning out all psycho. In the end, there’s no perfect answer, and the answers people are slinging out there lately are just absurd. Red cars are more likely to get speeding tickets. Is that due to the car being red or due to the kinds of people attracted to red cars. Who knows? We’ll never know. There are many theorists out there who will argue the red car thing to death too.

Errrr, I presume me having a few friends round on Sunday and playing Sports and Koroprinka (whatever it’s called) counts as being anti-social then…ahwell.
