Infection Riddles Two New Metroid Prime 3 Trailer

There are two new trailers up for the upcoming Metroid Prime 3: Corruption, which are also viewable on the Wii’s preview channel for the game. They both deal with a new gameplay element: the “Phazon Enhancement Device” (PED) Suit. The video above explains how the PED essentially works, infusing the user with phazons, which enhance their battle capabilities. The second video shows the suit in action against some space pirates. Apparently, these phazons are where the “Corruption” moniker int eh title comes from, as using them too much can have adverse affects on Samus.
I love mechanics like this where you are given something that gives great power, but using it has inherent risks. A good example of this is the One Ring for LOTR. Its really cool to be invisible but it slows enslaves you. Cool Stuff.
