‘In The Name Of The King: A Dungeon Siege Tale’ Trailer

The above clip is the latest trailer for the well known Uwe Boll film. Boll is well known for adapting video game stories into movies. He’s also well known for ruining the stories and releasing some really terrible films. As of last month, all three of Boll’s video game adaptations appeared on the Internet Movie Database’s Bottom 100 films list. We’ll have to see if his Dungeon Siege Tale does any better. So far, I haven’t seen anything from the previews that can really show how good or bad this movie might be. An all-star cast might be enough to save this film, but who knows.

A man named Farmer (Jason Statham)sets out to rescue his kidnapped wife and avenge the death of his son from a race of animal-warriors who are controlled by the evil Gallian (Ray Liotta).

Personally, I liked the original movie poster better.

And I use the word “like” very loosely.

  2. Knight says:

Looks like LOTR but with new skins. “We will send a small group to fight the enemy at its source.” Hmm…

  3. William says:

It does kinda look like a poor man’s LOTR

  4. Shyfty says:

But what happens if it turns out to be good? Not even good, what happens if Uwe puts out a film that is even marginally ok instead of horrible. And what will it mean to the rest of the world. Will gravity still work? Will Jack T. find actual proof that video games make kids kill? More importantly, will I still have to pay back my student loans?

  5. License to ill says:

Looks like a straight to video release…

  6. Ron Whitaker says:

@Shyfty: No worries, mate. Uwe couldn’t release a good film if Peter Jackson walked up and handed it to him.

  7. William says:

Shyfty.. If a Uwe Boll film turned out to be really, really good… don’t worry about your student loans. The end of times will be near. He had a great cast for this one, and that could be the only thing that saves it I think. I dunno. I may have to watch this one just to see how bad it is.
