Okay, it’s a bit dramatic, but Nintendo may be losing some of their home crowd to Sony. But it’s not too bad. Nintendo DS sales dropped below 100,000 for the first time in this year, and Wii sales fell as well, though the DS still leads the market in sales.

Remarkably, the PlayStation 3 was the only console which gained in sales, and coincided with the release of Bladestorm. The Japanese must really love that game.

Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles: Ring of Fates leads the software charts, with the rest as follows below.

  1. Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles: Ring of Fates
  2. Bladestorm
  3. Gintama: Together with Gin-san! My Kabuki-cho Diary
  4. Sengoku Musou 2: Moushouden
  5. One Piece: Gear Spirit
  6. Mario Party 8
  7. Summonight: Twin Age
  8. Phoenix Wright 3
  9. My Housekeeping Diary
  10. Wii Play

Kind of shocking that Wii Play is still on the top 10, but seeing as how it’s the Wii staple, maybe not.

probably because nearly everyones got a DS and Wii so naturally sales are going to slump.

What you should post is actual total sales in the area to date, and i gurantee you the Nintendo products have sony over a barrel.
