Imagine a World with No Gears of War Multiplayer

The notion of no multiplayer in Gears of War might sound silly, but it was quite close to becoming a reality last year. Mike Capps revealed during an interview at this year’s Leipzeg Games Convention that he was so dissatisfied with the progress of Gears’ multiplayer that he nearly cut it out of the game altogether.
“I was going to cut multiplayer from Gears because I thought it wasn’t coming together fast enough, right,” said Capps. “The day before E3 I’m like ‘no guys, it’s not pulling together.’ And they made it, they pulled it together, and then we won every award.”
Gears of War is hitting PCs next week, on November 6.

It seems that PC gamers will be able to play it online with just a free silver live account so it looks like I will be getting myself one of those
@Norbit – Yeah, luckily they don’t force you to buy a Gold subscription to play online. If they did, they’d really be sending the game to die.
