I know, I know. When you first think of who’s the best actor to play a Middle Eastern prince, Jake Gyllenhaal immediately jumps to mind. And then when you try and think of the best actress for his romantic interest, obviously it’s got to be Gemma Arterton. At least, that’s how Disney and Jerry Bruckheimer must see things since the two have apparently been cast in the main roles for the upcoming film based on the Prince of Persia games. Gyllenhaal will play the prince, Dastan, who joins up with a princess named Tamina (Arterton) in order to stop an evil nobleman from getting his hands on the Sands of Time. I’ve got nothing against them really, but I have really hard time seeing either of them in these roles. Well, at least now maybe they can start working on actually getting it filmed though.

What happened to the actual prince? Wasn’t he picked?
Yes, they certainly look Iranian to me
Hollywood DOES know there are people of middle-eastern descent that can and like to act, right?
No one wants to see stupid Arabs, though, Mooshimooshi. Don’t you get that? It’s what everyone wants. Less people to bomb us and call us infidels. And I agree.
well, i have to admit that facial hair does look prince-like…but why did they name him? that was the whole point! at the end of the game, farah asks his name and…oh well, you all know by now im sure.
i just hope its not another ’super mario bros’
and to rick…you do know the first game is set in india, with the villian and the princess both being indian, and only the prince being persian, dont you?
think before you say something stupid next time.
Rick you’re a fucking imbecile! Next time try to use your brain before posting stupid sh!t like that
I was hoping for Orlando Bloom to be picked. He would have made a good Prince.
i cant wait to see gemma in this i think she will do a great job playing the princess cant wait to see it
bah, aryans. like we wouldn’t notice that they’re incredibly aryan with a background that wouldn’t gel
