openlock1 1 How to Unlock Every Rock Band 2 Right Now (And Destroy Some of the Fun in the Process)Rock Band 2 has been out for a day now, but already people are looking for a way to skip all the work of actually playing the game to unlock all the new tracks. Luckily for those people, it’s as simple as a few button presses. All you have to do is go to the game modifier screen and input the unlock code from the original Rock Band: Red, Yellow, Blue, Red, Red, Blue, Blue, Red, Yellow, Blue. And BAM! You’ve got every song. Mind you, that means all you have left to do now is just play through the tracks until you get tired of them or get some friends involved (which you really should do anyway).

Personally though, I’ve always found part of the fun in these music games to be playing through each section to see what goodies I can unlock in the process. But I also see why people would want to just skip all that and get all the songs in one swoop, particularly if you’re having a Rock Band party with a bunch of people (which you should also really do anyway).

Now here comes all of the little idiots who use this code and end up being bored with it (and then make sure EVERYONE KNOWS that THEY are bored and ROCK BAND IS TO (too, you morons) SHORT) within a week or two.

Well I’ll use it because I’m not especially fond of the initial songs.. and I’d like to have the option to play them all without having to unlock them.

What I think they need is a “party mode” that would allow that while maintaining the unlock progress for the “campaign” mode of the title.. then I’d be happy and accomplished… but alas that is not the way this works.

I don’t mind earning songs in World Tour, but I still want the option to play them with friends without having to jump through hoops to do it.
