How To: Play Smash Bros. Brawl With Just Your Wiimote

It’s been known for quite some time that one of the four controller options for the recently delayed Super Smash Bros. Brawl would be the Wiimote. Holding it sideways, there just aren’t a whole lot of buttons, and perhaps more importantly, no analog stick. So, just how does the control scheme work? The image above illustrates the basics of how to play the game, with more detailed instructions over on Smash Bros. DOJO!!
Just looking at this image has guaranteed I will either be picking up batteries for my Wavebird or purchasing a Wii Classic Controller. I see what you did there, Nintendo.

Wavebird FTW!
if I get another wii, and get this game, I’m definitely picking up the classic controller.
I actually did JUST buy a classic controller, partially because of Smash Bros. and because I wanted something better to play Virtual Console games with.
I’ve gotta think Wavebird is the way to go, or better yet, a regular GameCube controller for rumble. (No rumble in Wavebird or Classic Controller, if I remember right.) Plus, Classic Controller has to have the Wiimote dangling from it. Lame.
I picked up a GC controller so I could play a few GC games. Considering the UK has what I would describe as a ‘crap’ collection of Wii games at the mo, it seemed appropriate. Picked up some goodies too. Anyhow, I got the controller issue sorted, which is fantastic. However, I can bet on Wii naysayers picking up on this and coming back with the “Gamecube 2.0″ catch.
@Joelteon7: Did you pick up Eternal Darkness? Trust me, it’s a must own title.
