They spend £600000 or whatever to gain nothing, absolutely nothing. Microsofts advertising cannot tell you anything that warrants an upgrade. Its only OEM copies that are selling as people are forced to have it.

Maybe Vista would have helped me on my original post??

Vista is loathed because it offers NOTHING for £100+ so why should I pay that for gaining nothing. Word is working fine in XP so why do people need to upgrade? Thats why people hate it. Nothing to do with system resources. I have vista running below min specs and its fine. But Word is no more productive than when run on XP. If you cant read between the lines then you suck. Imagine a company buying 6000 copies having the pain of installing and testing etc.. when it doesnt do anything more. They spend £600000 or whatever to do gain nothing absolutely nothing. I have vista and I don’t hate it. I don’t really like it either. Why would I? There are few things that are better than in xp and few things that are worse.

My computer is good so I don’t care if vista eats resources.

I haven’t had any problems with vista. I have been able to play dos games, 95 games, 98 games and xp games, without problems. Though, I did have to download a few things but who cares.

Most people who hate vista are either idiots with bad computers or just idiots.

Vista does indeed suck – Thank god XP still has 3 years of free updates.
