Hideo Kojima “Thinking” About Metal Gear Solid 5

Hideo Kojima, acclaimed director of the Metal Gear Solid series, seems to have a hard time making up his mind. He’s stated numerous times that Metal Gear Solid 4 will be his last entry in the series and even mentioned that he might turn his creative eye to Zone of Enders once more. But now he seems to be saying that he’s already making plans for Metal Gear Solid 5, even though MGS4 isn’t even out the door quite yet. In an interview with Famitsu, Kojima said:
I gotta start thinking about MGS5…that would be something that Kojima Productions would have to make, I think.
Wait, what? Didn’t he pull this with MGS3 too? Dang it, Kojima, stop toying with our emotions.

As I’ve been plowing my way through the Metal Gear games to get ready for MGS4 recently, I’m happy to think that there’s even more in store from Kojima specifically, but who knows if I’ll be seeing that once I make it through Snake Eater, 4, and Portable Ops.
I think this is awesome! I’ve never played any of the MGS games. Heck, I’ve never owned a PS2. It’s great that a great game maker is still interested in his craft. I know many times I don’t feel like working on my art or music, but after forcing myself to get things done I become intersted in it again. Same with Kojima. He knows that working on these games takes a lot of time, patience, skill and emotion. But, once you’re at the end of your project, your mind begins to wonder…. “How would I make this better if I had another crack at it?” He just wants to blow our minds and complete his mission… that is, to be the greatest game developer of all time!
[disclaimer, I'm not saying that he is, but why not strive towards that goal?]
i am a HUGE fan of mgs an if kojima keeps up his good work i think mgs could easily become the biggest gaming franchise ever. even bigger than mario or tomb raider!!
I just finished beating Metal Gear Solid 4. The cinematic cutscenes drove me insane. Kojima has to make more Metal Gear Solid games, It just would not be right if he left it alone.
i think they really should makE a mGS 5 this game is great one of th best franchises out there mGS 4 was a greaT GAME AND I WOULD LOVE TO PLAY 5

I can imagine the teaser poster, ‘MGS’ where the ‘S’ is shaped to look like ‘5′
I think he should go back to ZoE..it was an incredible game and it’s sad to see it collect dust.

I love metal gear solid and i already beat 4. that game was so so bad as. I realy hope that kojima makes a 5.the graphics were bad ass and i just love it
so i beat 4 and still confused so i’m playing them over right after eac other in order. They left tons of room for another raiden game. i’m betting thats the way they go. between 2 and 4
i definately think u should make a fith one if u think about it u made 2 on gba/mobile 1 on ps1/game cube 2 on ps2 1 on ps3….that just about says it all one more and y end it on the number 4? call me weird but apart from indiana jones wat story ends with a forth?
maybe it should be another about big boss v solid snake and somehow solidus or liquid or even ocelot comes back?…can meryl die plz if she havent already
MGS5 will be a prequel most likely. There is a shitload of unanswered questions and unknown events in the time between 1 and 2, and 2 and 4. Plus there is more of Big Boss to elaborate on, as well as we don’t know what Raiden did between 2 and 4 either. MGS5 FTW!

Listen. if Hideo Kojima he really wanted to make MGS4 the last one, then snake would have comitted suicide at the end like we all thought he did, but he didnt. Metal gear solid games arn’t just games, they are legendary masterpieces which i know because ive completed them all. Metal Gear Solid has a lot more to offer than just 4 games if you ask me. No other game has stepped up to the mark of entertainment or addiction level. Not only should there be a Metal Gear Solid 5 but there should be 8 of them atleast.

Kojima should consider to remake MGS1 MGS2 and MGS3 with the playstation 3 so all the graphic will look just as great as MGS4 im sure MGS fans would want to experience all the previous great MGS games once more with better graphic.

MGS5 have to be a prequel. I agree that the story about snake is over. At least a prequel about solid snake. Plus I think that KOjima should direct MGS5 because the sucess of this serie is because of him. I would love to see Big Boss evolution or Zanzibar war with grey fox. MGS5 have to be a prequel because if it’s snake again it’s gonna ruin the serie. I’m sure that Hideo Kojima have other idea to makes prequel !! It’s not over yettt!!!

Hell yeah, let us get it on with MGS5, I think we could bring up Old Snake one more ride, at least with Raiden, but continue these saga which has been a bliss for me this last 10 years.

I realy hope he makes a MGS5. They should bring back snake and have a big war of metal gears. Meryle and her squad would be there and raidan some how. It would be great even if he doesnt make it that way i still think he should make a MGS5 because its the best game ever and the story should keep going. Just make sure snake is there lol.
Yea i hope there is another one, i am saving up money for a PS3 and praying that the 360 version comes out soon.. Iv heard that they are making a new MGS but Snake is done for..they will probably have another game with Big Boss staring in it in his younger years…it would be could to play through big boss’s point of view of zandabar land or outer heaven, or playing as ocolot would be cool

MGS is not just a game. I say this always. And of course I’d love to see MGS5! Heh even though it’d be called different, even though Snake wouldn’t be the main character or probably already dead. C’mon Mr.Kojima, I know you won’t leave your precious child alone like this!

MGS5? Probably a working title, cuz’ I’m sure Solid Snake is way too old and sick for another mission, unless it’s somekinda prequel. Then again, Kojima isn’t a stranger to pulling a complex, ridiculous but interesting plot twist.
In any case, it’s nice to see another MGS game in the making, though you may likely be playing a different Snake (another clone? A different soldier?).
