Reality shows have infected our TVs, and it looks like they’re making a move for our game consoles. Apparently the popular Fox reality show, Hell’s Kitchen, starring chef Gordon Ramsey, is being made into a video game. The game is expected to be released this summer to coincide with the new season of the show. It will be available on the PC, as well as all major consoles and even mobile phones.

I don’t know what the game will be like, but I’m picturing something like Cooking Mama with an irate Brit degrading you for putting too much salt on something. Unless I’m getting my celebrity chefs mixed up (he’s the one that says “bam” a lot, right?).

The closest I usually come to watching reality tv is CNN, but once in a blue moon I make an exception for Hell’s Kitchen, because Gordon Ramsey is sexy. Nothing sexier than a smart-arsed Brit with awesome wit. Thus my reason for watching HOUSE – Hugh Laurie(seriously off the subject). That being said though, I do not see the appeal of a Hell’s Kitchen game. What is the goal? To make people cry and thrown temper tantrums while overcooking the beef wellington?

  2. It’ll be interesting to see how the game turns out. I can’t really seeing a Reality TV show becoming a successful game. Besides watching Hells Kitchen, Gordon Ramsay’s Kitchen Nightmares is pretty entertaining.. I’d rather see Kitchen Nightmares as a game than Hells Kitchen.. my .02

hmmm… i reckon it’ll flop. just dont see what will be so popular about making food you wont be able to eat, with gordon shouting “your s**t” at you.

I must admit that I actually like Hell’s Kitchen (and it’s spin-off “Kitchen Nightmares”), but I can’t fathom how the show could be turned into a video game.
