Harmonix Says Rock Band Won’t Rob You at Gunpoint

Harmonix assured gamers during an interview, that the controllers for Rock Band would be affordable. While they have kept their lips sealed along with EA and MTV about any pricing rumors, Harmonix director Ryan Lesser stated: “”I think when it’s just rumor and no one has anything tangible to hold on to, people can be afraid – but the fact is we’re very conscious of it, and we’re doing our best to make it awesome and affordable.”

Controllers used for Guitar Hero will be compatible, and that could go a long way considering gamers will want the whole package to make the game more realistic and fun. To have the complete package you would have to buy the drums, mics, and those sweet Roland synths – so already owning the guitar controller would save you a rumored $150-200. That may be the case, but even if the controller costs $200, that is still the closest I will ever come to affording a “stratocaster”.
