First unveiled at E3 2003, the PSP sounded like a dream come true for many gamers. Not only would you be able to take a Sony system on the road with you, but you would also be able to watch movies via their UMD format. Finally hitting retails stores in 2005, the PSP is now three years old, and a very popular form of handheld gaming to say the least – over 30 million have been sold thus far even with the initial cost of games yanking around $50 out of your pocket.

With exclusives like God of War: Chains of Olympus and other really cool titles coming out in an almost constant stream, it is finally nice to see a handheld give the guys over at Nintendo a run for their money. With internet access, a nice selection of colors and themes, firmware updates, being Skype enabled, it is indeed one cool little machine.

So here’s wishing you a Happy Birthday PSP. You don’t smell like a monkey, look like one or live in a zoo, but we wish you many more birthdays to come, and look forward to seeing what else you will offer us in the future.

I know this isn’t CNN, but there’s a typo. It says “money” where I think that you meant “monkey.”

Sorry. The English teacher in me is showing. We do what we must, because we can.

Thanks. Sometimes my dyslexia carries over to my fingers as well. I fixed it though.
