Happy 4th Of July!

In the US of A, today is the 4th of July, which might mean a day off from work, BBQs, and 50% off love seats at the local furniture depot, but it’s really a day to celebrate America’s independence from the Kingdom of Great Britain on July 4th, 1776.
I personally am going to spend a good majority of my day catching up on a couple of anime episodes I’ve been slacking from watching, playing some DBZ on the 360, and probably going out to watch Hancock later tonight. So I ask you, what do you have planned on your 4th of July?

This US worshipping must end. US is just one country among others. If you are going to post this kind of stuff in a gaming news page…. then… From this moment, I demand you to post something every time there is some country’s independence day.
I have nothing against US btw. (except the law system)
@plz die: US worshiping? By wishing those in the US (which I am one of those) a Happy 4th of July? How is it worshiping a country by wishing the inhabitants a happy holiday?
If I had a calendar full of world holidays, I would wish everyone a happy holiday when it was appropriate. But I don’t. So all I know is today is the 4th of July in the US, and so I wanted to do something nice and wish everyone a happy holiday. I have no idea how good wishes can turn into something negative.
It just goes to show you can never make everyone happy, no matter how hard you try.
@S.T.A.L.K.E.R: Hopefully you’ve got a lady to go see Wall-E with. It’ll pretty much guarantee you some hot making out action afterward. It’s know to tug at a couple of heart strings.
Daniel, this is a gaming news (blog), right? What does US holidays have anything to do with this? Isn’t this supposed to be international site/something?
You could find holidays/independence days of other countries easily and post them. It would be lame though.
And don’t mind that “US worshipping”
Too often, on international websites, I see a message/news post that says that there is some competition or something like that. From the post, you get the idea that it is for everyone. But then it’s only for US citizens. It should be properly stated if it’s US only. I’m tired of that crap. Sometimes it seems like you(americans, not all) think that US is the whole world.
When I come to an international gaming news site, I don’t expect to see posts of US/etc holidays or such. Could it be possible to put such things on the right side of this site/page? I think there is enough space between those “Archives”, “Recent Comments”, etc.
Well, I guess it doesn’t really matter but try to get someone to post other countries based non-gaming/contest(ads) related stuff.

@Daniel: Tell me about! I went to go see it with my best friend yesterday (she is my ex but we are the best of friends) and I almost leaned over to kiss her, she actually leaned and then realized what she was doing, lol! Not that I am complaining or anything

Well, anyway, be it a gaming site or not, it isn’t very MATURE to bash someone for what they post in it. BTW, the only thing that bothers me is that whole, “5 de Mayo” stuff the americans celebrate.

What’s up guys and gals, I hope my fellow Americans had a great 4th, for everyone else I hope it was a swell day for you as well.
Unfortunately, I didn’t have time to do much gaming but I did get drunk off my ass at my parent’s house and set off some mad fireworks.
I’m home taking care of my little girl today, she is sick with a fever so I’ll probably be posting a lot today.
