thats great news for microsoft and bungie. So now that they have over $170 million, how about putting some of that green into fixing Xbox live.

Because of halo 3, the service is slow and causing problems because of the mass ammount of Halo 3 players. This is not good for a paid service. I own Halo 3 also but i see many people complaining of poor connections, disconnects, droped games etc.....

Moneysoft PUT some of that $$$$ into Xbox live and fix the problems the mass amount of Halo 3 players are playing at once, Im a Halo 3 player and play way more games than just Halo 3. Xbox live is suffering now. I have a DSL connection, Xbox live is the only connection and it went from top notch to turtle speed since Halo 3. invest in Xbox live, before many Xbox fans invest in Sony PSN. Sad but true.

"I have one point,Question.. isnt it kinda unfair to compair a game thats worth 59.99-130$ to a 10$ tops movie ticket ?"

Of course it is unfair, but this is PR spin not scientific or market research. The fact is that more people have experienced a Spiderman or Harry Potter movie than Halo, and that is just counting box office sales not DVD's. Microsoft is simply exaggerating Halo's success by emphasizing sales revenue over units sold to draw mainstream media attention.

Sure by video game standards Halo 3 is certainly a blockbuster. By movie standards though it is simply a niche film. It's no Star Wars or Titanic.

Not really. You've got to take into account that whilst the computer game is more expensive, it is reserved for a smaller market and will unlikely have repeated sales (as in, more than one to one person). If you take into account the fact that film's appeal to more people, the whole thing probably balances out as near as damnit.
