Halo 3 Preorders Exceed 4 Million

Yes, there’s quite a demand for Bungie’s newest creation, and it still has a while to hit the shelves.
According to Xbox Evolved, preorders for Halo 3 have topped 4,000,000 units, making it the “most preordered video game of all time.” Yes, much like the demand for a good movie, the demand for this video game has skyrocketed.
And why? Well, let’s just face it: Halo and Halo 2 rocked.
I must be the only one who has never played any Halo game, ever. Seriously, not ever.

It’s a ho-hum game (1 and 2) with a ho-hum story and with insane people online that like to tell you that you’re not as good of a human being as them because you don’t spend 12+ hours a day practicing (not in such nice terms).
I’ll probably not be playing Halo 3, and I only played the first 2 at all because it was the party game of choice and everyone played it.
Now everyone on campus (that I know) owns a Wii, so I’ll be playing Mario Party 8 instead.
i wont argue with anyone here on the Halo series if its good or bad, the sales speak for themselves. this will be a super crazy seller, the name says it all and the being the first 360 release of Halo.
I personaly am a Rainbow Six vegas fan, but i will buy Halo 3, who wont? its the best series and has made the Xbox sell mad, and Halo 3 will do the same for the 360.

I might buy it when it comes to the PC but I’m not very keen on futuristic FPS’s. I’m more of a Battlefield 2 man. Personally I doubt this will do much for 360 sales. I haven’t read a single comment in the last year from someone saying they will buy a 360 when Halo comes out because the vast majority of people who want Halo 3 already have 360’s.
OMG! I disagree with Norbit. Its Halo 3. I dont even need to argue with this. There is already 4 million preorders. The majority of people that buy games get it at the store, not preorder. And that ugly Halo 3 edition im sure will add 360 console sales.
Halo 3 will be huge, some one will have a 360 already and a friend will see them play halo 3 and have to get one because all their friends are playing Halo 3, its how it goes. Im sure we all have had this situaiton, I rember the Super Nes and Super Mario world seeing it at my friends. What did i get for that christmas or closest occasion to get a gift? A Super nes of course.
Halo 3 will move systems, T-shirts, Figues, underwear, anything branded Halo people will buy. It may even convert some PS3 fans, who knows?

Norbit… go to kotaku/gamedaily/1up and have a good read. Analyst think that Halo 3 will push 125k consoles in september alone…making it around 400k with the wii month to month. That is amazing…There are alot of people sitting on the fence playing halo 2 just waiting for H3 to come out. They will all pony up with the monies
le sigh.. halo (in general) is just a run of the mill FPS. there is nothing outstanding about it, its a solid fun game sure, but the story line and telling for that matter are straight forward neither bringing anything new to the table. Halo 1 was such a hit because it was the first, and one of the few, good xbox 1 games, as such it developed a big following. like most games .. it will be better on pc, everything always is.
Dude what are you talking about better on the pc! Halo 2 sucked on the pc. Halo 3 is going to be huge it has already sold over 4 million copies halo 2 sold over 9.2 million copies, halo 3 is going to not only top that mark but is going to sell the Xbox 360. This is not a guess this is a fact thousands and maybe even millions of people who have not yet gotten a 360 are going to just so they can get halo 3 it is the best fps ever made and is under appreciated. I was going to get a PS3 but didn’t just for this game. It is going to be huge, and will probably go down in history as the greatest game ever made while it crushes every single sale record for video games in the process. The only bad thing about it is that it is coming out so soon, my 360 just broke down and wont be back in time for the release so I am going to be way behind every one else on online play and am going to have to wait longer then every one else to play this game.
