Well, we all knew it was too good to be true didn’t we? Well, some of us at least, others were not quite sure what to make of the supposed set list for Guitar Hero: World Tour when it was “leaked” on Thursday.

Upon seeing the list, Game Informer contacted Activision, who stated that while some of the songs on the list were indeed in the game (Hot for Teacher) others were completely false.  So far, the only ones that we can say for sure are in the game is the above mentioned Van Halen song, and of course Billy Idol’s “Rebel Yell” because of screenshots and the video shown at E3.

The thing that really brings me down though is the Tool set list. It may be end up being one of the “true” bits of the list, but Activision did not go into much more detail on what is true and what isn’t. Too bad though, a lot of the songs on there would have been awesome, and I tend to agree with GI on the bass boss battle with Sting. That would have been pretty damn cool.
