Guitar Hero: Metallica Next Up for Activision

I really feel like Activision is out to absolutely destroy the Guitar Hero franchise. Guitar Hero: Aerosmith was bad enough, and while there’s not anything wrong with Metallica, it feels like Activision’s goal is to have a new Guitar Hero SKU release as frequently as possible. You know, rather than do the reasonable thing for gamers and stop filling our rooms with mountains of plastic instruments by supporting their game through DLC.
Wedbush Morgan Securities’ Edward Woo came across an SEC filing over the weekend which made a mention of Metallica. “In fiscal 2009, we plan to publish Guitar Hero: On Tour for the NDS; Guitar Hero: Aerosmith, Guitar Hero: Metallica, and Guitar Hero IV across multiple platforms,” the filing read. March 31, 2009 marks the end of the company’s fiscal year, so you can expect Metallica before then.
So, whose wallet is going to be even further annihilated by Activision when the game is released?

they are trying to take over megaman’s spot in the guiness book of world records as the most whored out franchise ever.
Agreed. This isn’t pushing the genre forward.
Good job, Activision. This plane is heading towards the ground.
They really don’t have a full game’s worth of songs either.
FAIL
(if there was an edit button I would)
As in good songs.
not me – isn’t it funny that EA is now involved with Rock band and the original guitar hero team yet (although it was out longer) guityar hero seems to be selling out for a quick buck at every possible occasion. Next it will be Guitar Hero – rock the noughties (actually I’d probably buy that!!
)
METALLICA!!!!!!!
