Guitar Hero: Lizard Monsters Painting

Kotaku recently featured the above image from one of their regular readers on their site. The artist stated that he was going through an unpleasant divorce and he uses Guitar Hero and painting to temporarily escape from the stress. This is a great example of how art and video games can truly help people deal with the cruel world we live in. Personally, I use art and games as a form of escapism. I’m sure there are plenty of gamers out there who were initially attracted to the world of gaming for the same reason.

‘Going through an unpleasant divorce’. What a wimp.
Great job on the painting. i hope this guy works it all out with his divorce. Im sure its not an easy process. this guys defently not a wimp for what he is facing, its never easy. Great job!
wimp lol. My divorce a few years back was real crazy. My legal fees ran me over 30k.
Still using the games as an escape to this day. Sure beats booze, drugs or womanizing. And I have a social network of people that have been playing regularly for about 3 years now.
If you play games and havent used them as escapism at one point or another, are you human?
I started out that way.
