Guitar Hero III Online Play Confirmed For Wii

There had been some doubt earlier as to whether the Wii version of Guitar Hero III: Legends of Rock would net all the features the bigger consoles get with the upcoming wannabe musician game. As an update to a recent interview with Red Octane’s president Kai Huang, Pro-G received the following response from a Red Octane representative:
“There will, in fact, be Online gameplay for the Wii when Guitar Hero III: Legends of Rock launches in late October. However, there will not be Downloadable content available on the Wii at launch. That, we are still working with Nintendo on.”
I guess the old term “never say never” applies here, even if your doubting Thomas is the president of the publishing company. As popular as the Wii is right now, I’d take a bet that the Wii will eventually get DLC capability. Neversoft are a skilled developer, so I know they can pull it off (even if the results are awkward). Nintendo’s cooperation are certainly a big plus.

That’s very good news, at least now I can put my Guitar Hero 1 veteran skills on the the hopeful (lol hopeful) tons of new players on the Wii, but i’m sure I’m wrong. There better be a online score board!
