Guitar Hero 2 + Lightning = Fried Teens

What do you get when you mix a round of Guitar Hero 2 with a lighting storm? Well, if you’re like Chris and Ben Bergin, you end up lying on the floor thanks to a huge power surge coursing through your body. Apparently, the two boys were playing “Message in a Bottle,” when lightning struck nearby. This caused a power surge to run through the outlet to the PS2 before hitting the two guitar controllers and knocking the two teens to the ground.
“I just remember falling to the ground and looking at my brother ’cause he was on the ground, too,” says the 15-year-old Mr. Bergin.
The real tragedy though: the PS2 was fried, along with their TV, computers, and other electronics. Apparently people can get jolted by a wired computer mouse as well. Basically, the only way to stay safe during a lightning storm is to stay inside and read a book. Or buy a wireless controller.

It’s electric!!!
