Gran Turismo 5 Prologue Screens are Amazing
By Chris on Friday, October 5th, 2007 at 11:37 AM PST In Gran Turismo, Sony, Sony

We know Gran Turismo 5 Prologue is going to look terrific, but just knowing that can’t prepare for you the mind-blowing graphics this game is sporting. The in-car view, the backgrounds, car models… it all looks incredible. While there still is no date attached to the US version, it should be coming before the end of the year in both Blu-ray and PlayStation Store flavors. Even if you’re not one for sim racers, how can you say no to visuals like these?

Wow…
I think I just had a bit of an accident
wow, i see myself buying a ps3 for this game at some point down the road. i love gran turismo.
“Even if you’re not one for sim racers, how can you say no to visuals like these?”
Pretty easily, if it plays anything like the boring and monotonous 4. Don’t get me wrong, looks amazing, but that’s the only point the PS3 has about it. Looks are amazing…but no gameplay. Sorry, no sell for me. Come back with the screens of Wipeout…then the PS3 has something I want.
I find Wipeout to be one of the most shallow and boring games I’ve ever played while Gran Turismo is imo the greatest game ever made.
“Looks are amazing…but no gameplay.”
Ignorant doesn’t even begin to cover that statement. Fucking retarded spewings of rancid horse shit comes a bit closer.
Please don’t ever buy a PS3 and pollute Home with your 360 fanboy presence.
Ok, calm down. I’m allowed to have my opinion, just as much as you are.
For a start, my reference to 4 was how every car pretty much felt the same to drive, especially when ugraded when they all felt exactly the same and the most difficult driving became was on the snow tracks or if your tyres were blood red (and this wasn’t even a problem on some of the cars anyhow). Obviously I’ve not played 5, but unless they’ve changed the physics engine to make each car unique, or unique to the point of not every car being the same, but with a different model and paint job, I just don’t see what the point of getting 5 is when 4 does the same, except 5 would just have a few more cars and shinier graphics.
Also, if I really cared about graphics, would I have a Wii? Heck, last year, would one of my most played games have been any of the Sonic Mega Collection? Fact is, Sony seems to be pushing more with the graphics department. In relation to my 360, yeah, sure, the variety of games on it aren’t fantastic (the fact that all 3 of the 360 games I have are shooters speaks for it self) but I feel they offer me a bit more depth, or at least more than Lair or Heavenly Sword, which are globally reviewed as being short. Both lack multiplayer/ Some games you can only play through so many times and I think HS would just be one of those games where in 6 months, the only people still playing it are going to be the ones who have just got it.
One last point…I’m not a fanboy, of any system and far from it. I’ll announce the forthcomings of systems (lack of HDD for the Wii or on-par graphics, or the lack of variety of 360 games) but, also the good things (cheap fun Wii games, Live’s very cool arcade system allowing a good amount of downloading free stuff) but I’m certainly not a fanboy. Just no point to having a close-mindedness about my entertainment…why decrease what I can offer my self when if I can afford them, I get more?
Omg all of u are Some great husos. GT5 is the greatest game that will be in the next years, trhe car physics in GT4 were great, EVERY carb had a different handling, niggas like u just don’t see such things, just try to compare the weight reductions, after every step each car was a bit different to drive, but always one more then the other…so please don’t talk about things u don’t understand JOELTEON7 u silly nigga
