Piranha Bytes’ arcade style RPG Gothic 3: Forsaken Gods has a patch available on FileFront.
Patch v1.06 fixes the problem with marc when you’ve got “Theodors Artifact Quest”, as well as fixing some other minor issues. The patch must be applied to the Forsaken Gods version of Gothic 3 with the release patch already installed. Save games that were made with Forsaken Gods with Release Patch remain working.
The most important changes to the game include some fixes to potential main-quest blockers, path finding and quests issues you may have run across have also been addressed, along with missing texts, graphical performance improvements, stability issues, and improved gameplay elements.
To get the patch, hit the badge below or follow this link. If you need the patch that was released on Monday (v1.1 )instead, you can get it here.
UPDATE: Apparently Piranha Bytes had nothing to do with this game according to statement made here, which reads as such:
Today JoWooD Productions Software AG, publisher of our games Gothic II, Gothic – Night of the Raven and Gothic 3 has officially released their new game Gothic 3: Forsaken Gods.
We have agreed to their usage of our registered trade mark “Gothic”. However, to avoid any misconceptions about the game itself we have to state that we have not been involved with its development in any way. All development was done by the India based company Trine Games who have been hired by JoWooD for this purpose. There has never been any contact between us and Trine Games. We do not know more about the game than anyone else – in fact we have bought our copy of the game at a local retail store only yesterday 20th of November.
Piranha Bytes have been busy developing their upcoming fantasy RPG named “Risen” since 2007.
Thank you to “Guest” for pointing this out to us.

Piranha Bytes has nothing to do with Gothic3: Forsaken Gods:!:
Take a look at the newest entry: http://www.pluto13.com/index.php?navtarget=1&lang=en
Please correct your news.
This game is so damn buggy and sucks in other parts, it will be unfair to blame it on Piranha Bytes.
This game was made by Trine Games and Published by Jowood, who also are responsible vor the new The Guild 2 Addon…
Guest…. look at the wesbite for Gothic 3 here: http://www.gothic3.com/
Notice the logo in the left hand corner of the screen.
Also, look at the FileFront page here: http://software.filefront.com/Gothic+3/;2155;/Software_Information.html
The developers and publishers send the file team there the required information. Therefore, we would have had no way of knowing unless Piranha Bytes sent us that press release you linked us to themselves. Thank you though for the information, the post as been updated accordingly.
Hehe I will have to disagree Piranha Bytes are to blame u wanna know why? Because they did not participate on this game… If they’d be with JoWood The game would be 100 times better
Thanks, for the correction!
Well it´s strange, but the developer was announced a bit late, on august 20th 2008. Up to then, it was only known, that the developer wasn´t Piranha Bytes.
But there must have been enough time, to inform you and others.
I don´t know which strategy Jowood (Dreamcatcher) is following, but they announced the new developer very late and the name of the developer doesn´t appear on the front cover of the game.
