Google Turns The Act Of Tagging Images Into A Fun Game

We tag images and articles here every day. It’s not exactly something I would have ever considered fun. Google has now taken the act of tagging images and turned it into a fun and competitive game. The new game is called Google Image Labeler and it’s a fun way to play an interesting game and help Google with tagging images. If you love words like I do, it can be a lot of fun coming up with interesting tags. If you happen to work in an office, this is also a great way to pretend to be working and it doesn’t look like you are playing around from a distance. Check out Google Image Labeler if you are bored!
How does it work?
You’ll be randomly paired with a partner who’s online and using the feature. Over a two-minute period, you and your partner will:* View the same set of images.
* Provide as many labels as possible to describe each image you see.
* Receive points when your label matches your partner’s label. The number of points will depend on how specific your label is.
* See more images until time runs out. After time expires, you can explore the images you’ve seen and the websites where those images were found. And we’ll show you the points you’ve earned throughout the session.

Google is smart, but I am so not working for free for them. If they want me to do that shit they are gona have to pay me.

Dream hit the nail on the head. They’re just trying to make their marketing look like a game…
Indeed. I heard about this a while ago and thought about how brilliant the idea was, since I don’t see the average person seeing through this.
