What is Google up to and why does it want to creep into video games?

We mentioned before that Google is getting into in-game advertising, but what is it looking to do now? According to Press TV, Google’s worldwide filings involve both television and video game patents, though no other information was immediately forthcoming. Could it be that the giant will be taking a giant step into fiddling with our gaming experience?

The only good news is that Google makes some fine additions to the internet. I’ve never gone wrong with maps.google.com. In fact, the ability to see what it looks like from the street you’re looking at on a map is one of the most amazing things to grace humankind.

Maybe this is all a good thing, and we’ll see Google making the gaming world a better place, just like they’ve done to, well, my desire to find Panda Express in Tucson, Arizona.
