street fighter iii Good News for Hackers and MAME Users: CPS3 DecryptedYou remember Street Fighter III, right? Well, the system it ran on in the arcades has finally been hacked.

Wow, arcades. But anyway, MAME users will be happy and hackers in adoration as Destructoid.com is reporting that Capcom’s CPS3 system, which is the hardware that ran games such as SFIII and some of Capcom’s other high profile games in the arcades, has been decoded.

I suppose I’m all for games which end up on MAME because, really, I love the look and feel of the games which came out in the arcades. It’s like a 9.5 on my nostalgia-meter.

Wow, arcades…
