Going Green For Video Gamers

Going green is the latest fad in the US, and apparently its fashionable in the UK as well. It’s a given that gamers have ignored Greenpeace’s declaration that consoles are toxic waste. However, those who still want to play but be Earth conscious about it can take a few tips from this gamers guide to going green.
Given the current state of the economy – with all of us facing credit crunch and rising gas prices – combined with my huge sense of guilt for indulging in a pastime that isn’t always easy to justify as green, I have put together some of my top tips for greener gaming.
Handily, they should save you some money, too.

take your dooms day theories some where else hippies, leave games alone.
I agree Bryan and really allot of this stuff is done anyways! I know many gamers who give them to younger siblings or pawn the stuff. Don’t get me started on the walking crap again.
I didn’t watch this video and immediately went out and shot three random animals, left my car run for no reason for an hour, poured a bunch of chemicals in the crick, and did my best for fart more than normal.
Take that ya damn environmental nutjobs.
I have no guilt because I am not a pansy ass idiot.
My advice, and this is a genuinely fun one, is at night whilst playing, turn the lights off. It doesn’t matter what game it is, it will automatically become more entertaining. You could also turn off additional sounds, so you only have say movement sound effects, saving your speakers. You could be creative in how you do this and indeed actually increase the amount of fun you have whilst gaming.
Yes, I feel so much guilt playing my Console everyday. Leave us alone you environmental nuts.
Why do you guys get so hostile when all they are trying to do is make the world a better place? It just proves that they are right – most people are self-serving and refuse to consider a bigger picture. It doesn’t make someone a nutjob just because they actually believe in something. And its not like they are zeroing in on consoles – they are right in the sense that EVERYTHING humans manufacture is made to be disposable and fill up space in a negative way. You don’t have to be a hippy to appreciate the potentially dangerous (and very likely) future we are creating for ourselves here.
Do a search on Youtube for: “the story of stuff”. It is a video that is done in a neat way that explains how our consumerism is going to be our undoing.
Ryan, take your hippy bullshit someplace else…
Global Warming is a crock, its nothing but a political ogenda by the left wingers for larger government and higher taxes.
