God of War Creator, David Jaffe, Discusses Halo and Medal of Honor Games Through IM

Over on his blog, David Jaffe, creator of God of War, has posted a full I conversation he had with Adam Orth — who worked with him on Twisted Metal: Black and Calling All Cars and has also worked on several Medal of Honor titles — about the Halo franchise. It’s a pretty interesting conversation overall, especially since it comes from two guys who have been in the industry for quite awhile. But the part that’s already getting Halo fans up in arms are the unkind words both of them had for the series (specifically, Adam’s comment of “F— Halo”). The conversation starts out with them discussing whether the new Halo 3 ad is disrespectful to war veterans and then leads into a discussion of both the Halo and Medal of Honor games. They both hold differing views on the subjects, but the ensuing discussion is pretty well thought out on both sides (in fact, the “f— Halo” line is just inserted in a blatant attempt to bait the fanboys). Of course, the comments section of Jaffe’s post has already degenerated into a flame war.
