After reading the initial press release from Sony announcing the launch of God of War: Chains of Olympus I got all giddy like a catholic schoolgirl until the reality of no longer owning a PSP brought my dreams crashing back into the horrible land of reality.
You see, my boyfriend’s cousin is currently in Iraq serving with the Marines, and we sent our PSP over to him and his buddies in a care-package. Since then, I have not missed our PSP too much, but now that Kratos is back in Chain of Olympus I am really wanting to get another PSP just for this game.
Imagine, if you will, my shock and utter awe when I looked at some of the screens from Sony depicting the red and ultra-sexy God of War PSP Bundle coming in June. I swear to the God of War himself, that thing is so sexy and so drool inspiring that I would marry the damn thing in a civil ceremony and broadcast the wedding night on YouTube if I were able to get my hands on one.
Ok, all joking aside, it definitely made my knees weaken a little, and the thought of being able to get my hands on another Kratos adventure before God of War III comes out next year, was just absolute sensory overload.
Anyway, fans of the greatest fictional hero known to mythology, go out to your local retailer now and get this game. Its waiting for you.

After the successful and award-winning debut of God of War® in March 2005, Sony Computer Entertainment America (SCEA) launched God of War® II in March 2007 to similar accolades and accomplishment… Now SCEA is excited to announce the launch of God of War®: Chains of Olympus, available exclusively for PSP® (PlayStation®Portable).
Jointly developed by Sony Computer Entertainment’s World Wide Studios (WWS) Santa Monica Studio and
Ready At Dawn® Studios, God of War: Chains of Olympus is the highly-anticipated third installment of the
God of War® franchise. True to form in which loyal franchise fans have come to expect and love, this fierce action-adventure odyssey is set in the mysterious and brutal world of Greek Mythology, packed with never before seen hostile environments to explore, demonic creatures to slay, and all-new combat moves that compliment the existing favorites for the infamous Spartan Warrior to unleash.
Delivering yet another epic gameplay experience, stunning visuals & highly-detailed graphics, challenging story-driven puzzles woven throughout the game, and an intricate new storyline that takes place before the original God of War, fan anticipation is at an all-time high and initial reviews are touting God of War: Chains of Olympus as a must-have title for PSP.

I’m right with you Stephany. I have my PSP though and I still want the red one. Red is my favorite color and it just looks sexy. It’s why men seem to love a woman in a sexy red dress.
My daughter on the other hand thinks it’s not fair that I get two and she doesn’t have one, but oh well whatever. If I get the red one she can play my silver one but it will still be mine. She’s not very responsible. She lost her charger in the house and we can’t find it. She used a pencil on her DS because she couldn’t find the stylus so it’s all scratched up. Yet she dares to ask for a more expensive handheld. Umm, not gonna happen. When she learns to take care of stuff she can have one.
I don’t care if her grandmama buys her one. It will go right back.
LaChandra, you sound like you are a great mother. Nothing is better than tough love getting when trying to get your point across about taking care of expensive toys without being mean. Hopefully she will learn quick and not sneak and play with yours in the process
This whole thing disturbs me.
I humbly request that it gets removed from the record.
Funny, I just went over to EB and called Gamestop and they said it’s not out till tomorrow…what the hell, I’m pissed as hell now.
Someone please explain to me how a piece of hardware like the PSP can be considered, “sexy?”
ManOfTeal – Only the red God of War bundle is sexy.
