Gift Microsoft Points to Your Friends

If you’re still looking to give some belated holiday gifts to friends and family, you might want to send some Microsoft Points their way. As long as you know the Windows Live ID they have associated with their Xbox Live account (chances are it’s a hotmail e-mail address, although it could be any e-mail of theirs), you can send Microsoft Points directly to their Xbox Live account.
It’s a nice idea, although I’ve been running into technical issues over the past few days as I’ve tried to use the feature. And by technical issues, I mean it simply won’t work.
Microsoft is exploring a way for you to send points to someone by just knowing their gamertag which would obviously be much more practical, but there’s no word on when that feature might be implemented.
Send points by going here.
