Gears of War Update Making “Significant Progress”

Mark Rein, the VP of Epic Games, recently made some comments that the next update for Gears of War is “coming along nicely.” On the official forums, Rein said they planned to add several new achievements, which will be available in the free title update. Some of the achievements however will only be available with the additional Hidden Fronts map pack, which is available on X-Box Live for 800 Microsoft Points. No definite word from Rein though on when this update will surface:
“We don’t have a release timeframe for it yet but I just wanted to let you know we’re making significant progress. In addition to the previously mentioned plan to improve roadie run we’re also going to have new achievements relating to Annex and the Hidden Fronts DLC.”
