Gears of War Map Pack Now Free

As we reported late last week, the Gears of War Hidden Fronts map pack is now free to download after originally being released in May for 800 Microsoft Points. Yesterday it went live as a freebie on the Xbox Live Marketplace. The map pack includes four maps: Bullet Marsh, Garden, Process, and Subway.
After we discovered that Epic originally wanted the map pack to be free, this “buy now or free later” pricing scheme was put into effect to appease all parties involved. So if you’ve been holding out for these freebies (like I have), head over to the Marketplace and pick up these maps and enjoy them now. Chances are that you won’t have a lot of spare time once September 25 rolls around.
