Echochrome is a really intriguing game that seems like it could quite possibly be the next Portal, as far as gameplay goes. This tutorial video from GDC shows the five key elements to how the game works and how manipulating the camera can alter the environment to your advantage. (Or your demise.)
We still don’t have a North American release date for the game, but we do know that the game releases in under a month, on March 19, in Japan for both PlayStation 3 (via the PlayStation Network) and PlayStation Portable. The PSP version will be priced at 3,990 yen ($36), which I continue to believe is slightly high. But, we don’t know what to really expect from the full version of the game, so who knows – maybe we’ll end up viewing it as a bargain.

Certainly a very interesting concept, I would like to see it progressed to the level of like portal in the first person. That like it is might be a nice little wasting time game.
