The way people talk about it, you’d think Wipeout HD was more than just a remake with a graphical upgrade. In fact, some sources from the game’s development team have apparently indicated that the game is practically a full-fledged sequel. And this trailer only helps to fuel that speculation. As you can see, the game has been given some amazing visuals, as well as some new tracks. Hopefully, we’ll get to see the full game sometime this summer.

What?!
8 stunning wipeout tracks!
WHAT??!
For one, F-Zero > wipeout by far, but this is just stupid. They’re just making it look pretty.
8×2 because unless they have a change of heart, they always include the maps in reverse. Then you have the fact that you’ll be likely going through a tournament. Not to mention the Prototype run-around where you have to steer a craft that can’t brake and see how long you can get without crashing it…nothing wrong with that.
Also, as far as I’m aware, this isn’t the ‘full’ Wipeout game. Kinda like GT4 Prologue’s to Gran Turismo 4 itself.
And F-Zero is better? Er…when F-Zero lets you fly in a crater in the moon upside down, with other vehicles below you and sometimes above you whilst hitting 1500km/h as you prepare to let loose a quake, I’ll say F-Zero is better. Good competitior, but Wipeout takes the crown.
I’m more than sure there will be free DLC, much like Pure and Pulse for the PSP.
The game demo looks really cool! I think I’ll check it out.
