GC: Devil May Cry 4 – GC 07 Cinematic Trailer

Usually cinematic trailers are pretty enjoyable and over-the-top providing the viewer with pure unadulterated entertainment. Capcom gives us a double-edged sword with the Devil May Cry 4 trailer that was debuted at the German Games Convention in Leipzig. On the one hand – it is action packed, gorgeous to look at, and a sensory overload. Yet, on the other hand the cheesy one liners coming from Nero’s mouth are something straight our of an eighties Schwarzenegger flick. What also amused me was what transpired between Nero and whom I presume to be Kyrie. Watch how, due to editing I am sure, she looks coy and flirty while he points a massive gun at her. What I also found slightly amusing was the way Gloria sauntered across the screen -as usual the heroine is pure and innocent while the “bad girl” is just, well… a lot of fun.
The trailer was definitely made with testosterone laden teenagers in mind what with the Slayeresque music and the bullet ridden action sequences. But who am I to complain? I am just tickled to death to have another Devil May Cry title to play come January.
