Right, just listened through this week's edition (Jewish holiday of no fun, bah!) so a few thoughts.

Firstly, a good "lol" came from the game that you're not going to refer to. Nice touch

Secondly, about the 'horror' moments, I've gotta say the first game that properly 'creeped' me out would have to be early on in Final Fantasy 7, most notably, just being released from your cell, for an unknown reason, with no music and blood trails on the ground. Not to mention the added jumpiness of the random battle whoozing sound. Even in those, the only sounds were movement and slashes.

Perhaps to a lesser extent, I always got anxious in Sonic 2 when I went underwater. Not quite horror, but there was a panic in dashing for the next air bubble, or it was death. Not exactly bloody or gruesome, but effective at the short jolt.

Perhaps needless to say and going back to FF7, the ending of the first disc gets you a bit angrified. "You...wha?! They actually DID that?!". I was one of those gamers who reset to see if there was anything I could do to change the events, but, nah, found out there was no other way.

Then there's the comical horror, mostly in playing any game with a health meter...and you haven't saved for longer than you should've done. Then it goes one of two ways; either you dash for a save point and die, fleetingly, or, you make it and breathe that humongous sigh of relief. The panic and scare is over.

Just to add my token, I'd like to give my own mini-rant and rave.

The rant comes from the over-abundance of hype from 'that' game. The rave is that 'that game' will be arriving at my house early on the 26th. Buying a 360 a couple of weeks ago was DEFINITELY a smart move.
