gorebrutus1 1 GameTap Adding Three New Titles to Catalogue TomorrowGameTap has announced that three new titles will be available to subscribers tomorrow: Gore: Ultimate Soldier, Mad Gear, and TOCA Race Driver 3. Gore is a single-player and multiplayer FPS that was released in 2002, which requires some unique strategy due to the stamina and armor systems, as well as five different classes to choose from (some of which are pretty funny, like Brutus to the right). Mad Gear is an arcade game from the late 80’s that’s similar to Bump n’ Jump, with the player collecting fuel tanks and knocking other vehicles off the road. And finally, TOCA Race Driver 3 is the third installment of the popular racing sim that was released last year. All that and the brawler, Mutation Nation, is now free to play at GameTap.com.

I never understood how GameTap has the business it has, most of the games available are freeware or abandonware and the rest are much to big to bother with as it will take far to long to activate.

I gave GameTap a trial run and i simply wasn’t impressed with it’s lineup, for the same amount it’ll cost somebody per month to use this service is equal to purchasing the large majority of the games they provide, the only difference is that when you buy them outright you actually own them unlike GameTap in wich you basically ‘rent’ them.
