I think it’s a great idea.
Parents should be grateful that he thinks more of the welfare of their children than he did his own “bottom line.” He sounds like the type of guy that would probably go even out of his way while on Gamestops clock to pull the same kids from a burning building if he saw it happening.. but then again, maybe he should take the advice of those above and just keep on working and “mind his own business” and just let the children fry… let the parents or Fireman save em.. Hell it’s their job to care…not his.. Sounds reasonable?? (sarcasm)

Myself and other people were right to think Gamestop managment wont stand for this guys ways. I was right to post Sales =$, $=profit. Profit= Him keeping his job. For all you people who thought different its a business not a school.

@armpit – its good to be right. my educated guess like anyone with common sence knows Gamestop wont stand for this, My college degree and good job/playing Xbox allowed me to come to this conclusion. Keep the personal and negative comments to yourself.

They should institute some program where if you bring in a report card with “x” number of good grades, you get a discount on a game or something. That way they can say they are being socially responsible and still drive new business.

When is the last time you saw a parent take responsibility for something their kid did? The ONLY reason Gamestop has a problem with this is because it would hurt their bottom line.

I never shop there anyway. Place is total garbage when it comes to the way they do business. Establishments like theirs should be boycotted by the general gaming community, but it seems people like getting ripped off.

Uh last time I checked, there are little things I like to call parents. It’s the parent’s job to watch over their kids and tell them when it’s OK to play games and what kind of games they should be playing. That Gamestop manager may have had good intentions, but he’s a total douche bag thinking that he can control what kids can or cannot buy because of how they perform academically.
